I think Santa would have a heart attack if my Rhodesian Ridgeback jumped into his lap.

But my OL objects to allowing any of the dogs get into laps. I can understand it since the smallest weighs 60Lbs (sharpei mix) and the biggest at 125 pounds could knock you and the chair over if he decided to jump into your lap.

I never was a fan of small dogs before I met my S.O. Now I am. Although at heart I'm still really a cat person.

She has always liked and had small dogs. And it's really better that way because she thinks that it's necessery that the dog sleep in our bed, sit on the couch, follow her up and down the hall when she leaves the room, etc. In other words: seperation anxiety.

So if we did have a Rhodesian Ridgeback or St. Bernard, I probably would not fit in the house.

Luckily I have a king sized bed and understanding OL who loves the dogs too.

This morning I woke up and could not move.

I had the Jindo pressed against one side, Ridgeback against the other, and Shepherd on my legs. A true Three Dog Night.

Sturdy bed frame is all I can say.

I have four cats; one a thirteen year old grey tabby likes to curl up on the Sable shepherd because he thinks he is invisible there; as if she grew a hump on her back and no one will notice.

My Female Lab Rott suffered from separation anxiety when she was younger. Leave and she would panic and tear something to shreds (pillow, video tape, ....) now she still fears we will not return and gets all excited when I come home from work etc but at least is no longer destructive.
