I would try and determine if your adapter is working properly. You can buy an inexpensive voltage meter for about $15. This meter will tell you if the adapter is giving out any voltage.

Does the place where you plug in the adapter(dc jack) seem loose? Does it wiggle?

Have you tried removing the battery and using just the adapter?

The problem is that these days with high power batteries often manufacturers skimp on the power brick , and it needs the battery to provide enough power to boot up. So it may not boot without the battery.

But as shanenin said, you need to confirm that your power brick is working. It could actually be the power brick failed and the battery went dead because of that.

Once you determine which is the problem you buy a replacement if it is not covered under warranty.
