First, I connect by DSL. Second, if this is the wrong forum, I apologize and will repost if someone will just tell me where since I don't really know what my problem is related to. After being booted up for a couple/few hours, I lose my connection for some reason. I can reboot and everything will be fine again. I have installed, updated, and use AdAware, Spybot, Spyware Guard, Spyware Blaster, a-squared, AVG Free v.7, WinTasks Pro 5 (Trial), ZoneAlarm Free. Don't really know what could be causing it and haven't been able to find anything with the programs. I've tried posting for help on some other sites, but no replies on subject.

I will be online for a while longer tonight and back tomorrw and can post whatever logs asked. I just would like to be able to keep from having to reboot all the time. Thanks for your time and any help you might can suggest.

Luke7_23,

I recommend that you download HijackThis from http://dknoppix.com/Downloads/HijackThis.exe.

Save it in a convenient permanent folder such as C:\HJT\, double click HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.

Press that, save the log, Ctrl-A to Select All, and copy its contents into a new post in the HijackThis section of the site. Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.

dk :)

I've tried stopping/blocking the CTHELPER although I know it's probably nothing to do with it, but for some reason I can't even stop it through Task Manager or other programs that allow stop processes.

Again thanks for any help you can give.

Ok, you have done what I have asked. Except, please post this in the HijackThis forum. Here is what CTHELPER is:

cthelper.exe is installed with Creative Labs Soundblaster Devices. It's purpose is to aid 3rd party developers create plugins/software for the card. In this way it is a non-essential system process and can be removed from the task-bar/startup.
