X-Cannon
I just installed Ewido Security Suite and got the plus edition so do I still need a firewall? Ewido protects mr from spyware, Hijackers, worms, dialers, trojans, and keyloggers also I have McAfee antivirus so maybe I don't need a firewall what do you guys think? I have Win XP Pro and SP1 gonna get SP2 soon
jimras
It depends on a couple of things but if you have broadband, like cable, that is always hooked up, and you don't have a hardware firewall, such as a router, then you really should have a firewall installed. njustice
Like jimras said, if using braodband it's best (no essential) to have a router in place. If using dial-up get a firewall so you know whats coming in and out. Even if using a router a software firewall lets you know if something is trying to get out from your pc.
