intocomputing2
Today in the morning I turned on one of my desktop computers and I found some odd changes:-An external Iomega hard drive that I had connected on my computer, it used to show up as "letter G" in "my computer" now it shows up as "letter J"-"My Documents" folder was on this external hard drive, but I had a shorcut for it in my desktop, now everytime I click it I get an error message (probably because the letter for the external hard drive was renamed, but it's odd because it renamed itself I didn't do it) -I had one of the folders iin my external hard drive as a "Share Documents Folder" now it's not like that anymoreDoes anyone know why all these changes took place? and is it something I should be concerned about? nroberts
Like shanenin said it could be another drive messing with GTo change it back go to Control Panel > Administrator Tools > Computer ManagementThen click Storage > Disk Management (Local)Then Right Click the drive > Change Drive Letter and Paths for (DRIVE LETTER)Remove the drive letter then click add and add a new drive letter
