martymas Posted October 13, 2007 Author Report Share Posted October 13, 2007 (edited) well i got the printer workingbut through a fluketonight i disconnected all my connections so i could use an 8 plug safety box wel when i connected every thing up i configured the broad band my scanner and the printerand bugger me it printered a test pagei tried it twiceand both times it workedi havent a clue why other thani down loaded printerupdates or the connections wernt fitted properlyi got so dam excited i started laughing and yahooing thet my next door neigborsrang and asked if i was okchriky i was pleasedthe sys was recommending a certaindriverbut i used the name and number on the printerand it workedmarty Edited October 13, 2007 by martymas Quote Link to post Share on other sites

martymas Posted October 14, 2007 Author Report Share Posted October 14, 2007 thanks team geez i feel pleasednow i need to configure slackwarenow i have the printer in operation i can print out the infotho ime still at grips with this partition thingand i havent found any info on how to partition the hddi have this spare hddso i can use it to try and work it outthere are old compts cluttering up my houseso i have plenty of marterial to work on hi-testi installed ubuntu and i found an up grade didnt have a clue what it meantso i pressed upgradenow i have ubuntu and kubuntuon the same sysis this normalit isnt a problem actually it is a challengemarty Quote Link to post Share on other sites
