LegolasX21E
Im Looking for a program that will let me amplify the audio track in video files. I would perfer not having to re-encode the video just to boost the audio but if I have to then so be it. Thanks in advance!LegolasX21

tictoc5150
Virtualdub (freeware) can do what you need to do, depending on the video format...Due to copyright restrictions, Virtualdub can't process videos that use certain kinds of compression (mostly microsoft "owned" codecs, I believe) but alot of avi's such as Divx and Xvid are fine as well as many others. If I'm not mistaken it can handle mpeg too.If you choose this, the process would be relatively simple...open the file with Vdub>click video- select "direct stream copy">click audio- select "full processing mode">click audio again- click volume>tick "adjust volume of audio channels", adjust the volume>click file- save as avi.The processing should go pretty quick since it's just handling the audio.Hope it helps.T.
