pantherguy
I just moved into an apartment complex that offers free internet. I had to buy an ethernet bridge from the ISP, and after following all the directions, I still can't get connected. The LED lights on the front of the box are all on, and on the PC it says I am connected (100mbps). I still can't figure it out.

sethook
Have you thought about asking for help at the complex? I would guess that someone there would be able to help you with any settings or set up procedure for their network, or at least point you in the right direction. Have you checked with a neighbor? pantherguy
Everything's good to go. It wasn't letting me release then renew a new ip address. I used the repair tool in the LAN settings and that seemed to do the trick. Thanks for all your suggestions.
jsbowen
Nice, easy fix. Thanks for reporting back.
Chappy
Ahhh, locked the IP.I've seen some PC's do that with new ethernet's sometimes, I have no idea why it would do such a thing, but I'm adding the LAN repair option into my list of "Known Fixes".Thanks very much for reporting back on this issue, and Welcome to Besttechie.net!
