Hi everyone,
At school, I need to do a project where we take a raw egg, and make a contraption out of hot glue and toothpicks. It can't be over 70g.
Anyone have any ideas?

Congrats! You look clean!
The following is a list of tools and utilities that I like to suggest to people. This list is full of great tools and utilities to help you understand how you got infected and how to keep from getting infected again.
- Spybot Search & Destroy - Uber powerful tool which can search and annhilate nasties that make it onto your system. Now with an Immunize section that will help prevent future infections.
- AdAware - Another very powerful tool which searches and kills nasties that infect your system. AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy compliment each other very well.
- SpywareBlaster - Great prevention tool to keep nasties from installing on your system.
- SpywareGuard - Works as a Spyware "Shield" to protect your computer from getting malware in the first place.
- IE-SpyAd - puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.
- CleanUP! - Cleans temporary files from IE and Windows, empties the recycle bin and more. Great tool to help speed up your computer and knock out those nasties that like to reside in the temp folders.
- Windows Updates - It is very important to make sure that both Internet Explorer and Windows are kept current with the latest critical security patches from Microsoft. To do this just start Internet Explorer and select Tools > Windows Update, and follow the online instructions from there.
- Google Toolbar - Free google toolbar that allows you to use the powerful Google search engine from the bar, but also blocks pop up windows.
To find out more information about how you got infected in the first place and some great guidelines to follow to prevent future infections you can read this article by Tony Klein

ampshock,
Nice wallpaper!
Can you attach it here so that I can have it?
Also, which proggie do you use to make it look like a mac?
-
Hi,
You can delete the cab and setcom.dll.
We have one more fix to do:
Open HijackThis and check this:
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/...//www.yahoo.com
Close all windows, and click the "Fix Checked" button.
Post a new log.

Hey everyone, can you guys tell me why my C++ proggie just shuts down randomly?
#include <stdio.h>
#include <iostream>
#include <cstdlib>
int main(int argc, char *argv[])

cout <<"Please enter 1 for volume of a rectangle, or 2 for a cone: ";
cin >> choice1;
switch ( choice1 ) {
case '1':
float length1;
cout <<"Please enter the Length of the object: \n";
cin >> length1;
float width1;
cout <<"\nPlease enter the Width of the object: ";
cin >> width1;
float lenwit;
lenwit = length1 * width1; //lenth times width
float height1;
cout <<"\nPlease enter the Height of the object: ";
cin >> height1;
float volume1;
volume1 = lenwit * height1; //to get volume
cout <<"\nThe volume of the object is << volume1";
break;
case '2':
float diam;
float rad;
float rad2;
float rad3;
float rad4;
cout <<"\nEnter the diameter: ";
cin >> diam;
rad = diam/2;
rad2 = rad * rad;
rad3 = rad2 * 3.14;
rad4 = rad3*3;
float height2;
cout <<"\nEnter the Height: ";
cin >> height2;
float vol2;
vol2 = rad4 * height2;
cout <<"\nThe Volume is: << vol2";
break;
}
system("PAUSE");
return 0;

Hi,
Yes, you are right about those two files, but before we start:
Please download the Suspicious File Packer from here:
http://www.safer-networking.org/files/sfp.zip
Unzip it to the desktop and run it.
Paste the following list of bad files into the Suspicious File Packer window:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\VESWinlogon.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\setcom.dll
Allow SFP to pack the files. This will generate a CAB archive on your desktop. Please email the files to admin [AT] dknoppix [DOT] com. (replace [AT] with @ and [DOT] with .)
Now, open HiajckThis, click the "Scan" button, and check the following items:
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/.../search/ie.html
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/...//www.yahoo.com

Hi,
Try this:
Download Registrar Lite from http://www.resplendence.com/download/reglite.exe.
Install it and run it.
Click on the "Security" tab, and select "Edit Auditing"
Make sure that where it says something like (DANIEL/dknoppix) (Example from my computer), that the two tabs for
"Read" and "Full Control" are selected.
Then try the fix here: http://www.besttechie.net/forums/index.php...indpost&p=24211

Egg Project
in Open Chat
Posted
Yep...just glue and toothpicks...Its a drop test from 15 ft.....Now, I just need to know the phyics, etc, on how to assemble it.
Spaz, you take some toothpicks, and hot glue..Then make something out of that to make an egg not break from 15 feet up.
