How do I know if I have DVD playing software? I know nothing automatically opens when I put in a DVD.

Okay so I used DVDFab to rip my DVD to my HD. Now I'm trying to use Jodix to convert it to iPod format, but I get this error:
"The following file can NOT be read correctly. [file path] Normally, you need only to install the correct codecs to solve the problem. Please click the Help button to get more information on codecs."
I clicked the help button and found the link for the codec pack and downloaded it but i still get this message.
I am trying to convert .VOB files BTW.

Thanks guys I will try those out. Now does anyone know a way to import a DVD onto my computer? it wont read in winamp or WMP.

Okay so I have a 30GB iPod video and I want to convert/transfer all my videos from this computer without using iTunes (I'm on ME so I can't.) What are some good free conversion programs? Also, how can I transfer them onto my iPod?

wow I guess nVidia has givin up on Windows 9X. The current driver for it is only 81.98. The current XP driver for anything other than an 8800 is 93.71. I'm sure you'd hate to do this but did you ever try it in IE? It might have worked. I hate IE but FF can't do it for some reason, I try IE just for the heck of it.
Lol I feel like such a moron now, it worked in IE. Why didn't I think of that in the first place? Jeesh.
