Hey guys. So I've been trying to update my Command Center so that I can change the colors of my lighting scheme. I had Command Center installed when I first got my computer and it worked fine. When i tried to update command center to (I think) A05 I got a fatal error upon opening only the FX portion of command center. I figured it was just a bad update and waited a while for the next one. So now I'm left with the same error and I'm not sure what to do or what could be causing it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nope, it's on a laptop. I had the same problem back when I was on Vista also.

Hey guys I'm having some trouble with my Alienware m15x laptop. When I connect it to my 26" Samsung HDTV, everything works fine, unless I type above a certain speed. It doesn't lag at all, but when I try to type at my normal speed, it ignores a lot of keystrokes. It only does this when I use the TV as the only display, and it works fine if I duplicate between the two. Any ideas?

Aim Disconnecting Me Randomly
Potato2k4 replied to Potato2k4's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Oh, that's a little disconcerting, but thanks for the info, Pete! -
Hey guys, so I recently started having trouble with my AIM. It disconnects me randomly. I used to get the problem a couple years ago, but it was my entire internet connection and was a problem with the router we had. It's not a general internet problem this time though, because when it disconnects, my regular internet connection is completely fine. Everyone I've talked to says they can't see when I disconnect and they don't disconnect either. I tried reinstalling several times, to several different versions, and the only thing they had in common was that I used the AIM Ad Hack version, but I'v

Whenever I try to send a picture to anyone, even HP Snapfish I get this error. I also get it when others send me a picture and I try to retrieve it. Google couldn't help me, any ideas?

Seems like she's been slowing down lately, when I'm saving files or going through the start menu it lags before it brings up the side menu with a drive churn. Also my games have been lagging more than they ever have and programs are slower also, do I just need more RAM?

I kinda expected something like that. Is there a difference between 1stick of 1GB or 2sticks of 512MB? And also I have no idea what specs to look at on a video card. -

Well I'm pretty lenitent but no more than $180. I don't need all that much power anyway so I think that should be plenty. As far as ram goes, should I spend a bit more and just replace the 512's and up everything to 4GB? or is that overkill? Maybe 2GB is enough... -

I think I can solve both problems by getting a stick of ram and a video card Now, how do I choose a video card? I don't need one of those brick-sized beasts that are $500. I just need to choose a decent card to keep this thing alive lol. -

This is what I was thinking of first, but as a gamer what would hold priority in RAM vs Graphics card? I don't play high graphics games really, just WoW and Counterstrike, so ram seems to make more sense to me. -

HP a1610n I'm not sure if he's correct but one review says that there is in fact a PCI-E slot, which gives me some more leeway if it's true. -

Well, unfortunately it's a pre-built from HP. This is most of what I was planning, except that I'm not sure if there is PCI-Express compatibility which would really thwart any solid upgrade for a video card. -
Well first of all it feels great to be back home (Some of you may remember me from what seems like an eternity ago, back when TechTV turned into G4 and most of us moved here.) So onto my question: Is there some sort of guide or website that could help me start chosing parts and such? My specs now aren't bad by any means, but I'm thinking of this as a future project anyway. My specs now: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+ 1GB RAM (2 x 512 w/ 2 slots free) nVidia GeForce 6150 LE 250GB SATA HD 7200 RPM WinXP MC As far as any upgrades would go I would think my graphics card could be updated and a
