would DDR2 ram fit in DDR ram slot?
-
I was looking through a tigerdirect catalogue the other day and noticed it had 1024MB(1GB) ram in it for only $50. i was wondering if mushkin, the maker, is a good brand or not, $50 sure is cheap but they could suprise you.and i aready have 1 stick of 256 Ram from samsung i think, and the 1GB is 2 sticks, i know i could take the old one out and just put the 2 new sticks in, but before i buy, are all memory sticks the same length, i dont want the ram to be too long for my mobo, or a kind it cant take.
My mobo is a MSI MS-6701 (Medion OEM) and i dunno what to put for the memory stats but heres what i got from everest:
Memory Bus Properties
Bus Type DDR SDRAM
Bus Width 64-bit
Real Clock 167 MHz (DDR)
Effective Clock 333 MHz
Bandwidth 2666 MB/s

-
sethook, no it was from when i was filesharing i only installed norton today, and scaned and it found it, but that was from a while ago.
-
ok when the problem happened he had not yet had speakers so i know thats not it. im thinking he should just install wmp again. i just wanted to make sure there wasnt something definitly wrong with his system first.
-
Im sure it haasnt spread through my whole sstem tyet because i cant even notice i have it, but norton found it. and im sure ill get rid of it but i was just wondering how much of a threat is this virus?
-
thanks, Schusterjo. i knew it had something to do with te registry, but as JDoors said, is this way also able to have file curruption or data loss?

My friend just got this brand new dell, and hes not really into gaming or computers, but hes really into his music. the first day he got it, i was over there setting it up for him. of course that wasnt hard, all he had was a mouse and keyboard and monitor at the time. which was actually only about 2 weeks ago. anyhow, as soon as he got logged on, he opened wmp. its all funky and it doesnt work at all, hes at his playlist, which only has some dell sample songs and stuff on it, but it just wouldnt functiion right, it failed and closed. he had no spyware or anything on his computer of course. does anyone know what may be the problem? he has windows xp home sp. 2 and wmp 10
