finally gave up on win me. had to build a win 7 computer. not too much computer repair in my neck of the woods. no problems yet with win 7..good to see you guys.

I just bought a kindle fire HD for my wife's birthday. it has 16 gig storage. how many books will that hold? also I was told you can't delete books after they are read. is that true? so I would have to throw away the kindle and buy another one when it is filled. any help? thanks in advance.

thanks...that explains it. altho I was stymied by a couple of big words like (text)...(ole) but I do realize now why freelance programmers wrote software to replace all three. have a good day.

I look in windows and find I have write.exe.........I look in ascessories and find I have wordpad exe. the interface and tool bars are identical but the size is different. exactly what is the difference except for size? thank you guys if you can satisfy my curosity....should have said I'm talking about winXP.

well thanks for the suggestions. this computer has 112 mb ram and 900 mhz processor. most linux wants 128 mb ram. I haven't been able to get any linux loaded on it. if I can make it til october I'm thinking about windows 7. avg will work somewhat if i run it manually daily.

avast supports winme til the end of 2009........
