    Thing was, I really thought I had the flu. Started feeling like crap in mid JAN. 2019 By the first week of FEB. I knew something just wasn't right. I didn't  say much in front of my Gf. on count of not wanting to upset her or scare her. But then for the first time in my life I developed a U.T.I. Never even knew guys were pervey to one. :o OMG I remember talking to men from Vietnam that told story's about V.D. and the burning, and peeing out what felt like shards of glass and razors and blood. I had all that.

    Then it was all over my local news about volunteer firemen catching Sepsis. I figured maybe I got something from my past days as a firefighter. Hell I don't know as when the alarm goes in, I just rush into a building to save lives and protect property.

    But at the E.R. the good Doc said not to buy into that story on TV. None of the meds would take any effect on me and I was told if none of the meds would work I would only have a few weeks to live. :o

    I guess the last drug they had in there arsenal showed promise. It kept showing false positives in the beginning but then finally it started working.

    I had to call for the first time in my life for a ambulance. To think, I was going to just throw on my bath robe and drive myself the 10 or 15 miles away from my local hospital.

    Good thing I didn't drive as my heart stopped in the ambulance and they used the paddles on me to bring me back. When they say it's like getting kicked by a horse in the chest is a total understatement. I felt like I got hit by a dump truck. I thought I had a heart attach but the EMT said my heart rate went off the charts and just quit.

    I didn't have any chest pains either as I was talking to the EMT and just blacked out just like that.

    That's why I said, good thing I never drove myself. One thing if I had died but would never been able to live with myself if I ever killed someone else or mained an innocent bystander for my stupidity.

    Even though I am much better today, I still don't feel a 100%  Something still feels off. Hoping it's just my mind playing games on me. My short term memory still has not fully recovered as a lack of oxygen to my brain. They say it may come back but no guarantee and this has been going on since Feb. 28th of this year.

    I was sitting at a red lite not to long ago not far from ware I live and couldn't figure out ware I was for a brief moment. Scary. At times you could tell me something and a minute later you could come back and say something about the subject and I get all pissed off as I get clueless at times.

    My long term memory is great. It's my short term memory that gets in my way.

    Hope the hell no one ever gets hits with Sepsis as it sucks.

    I was supposed to be in bed at 1 AM and is now 2:35 AM Lol. I have not been on my confuser in months. Been sick and over a month in the hospital with sepsis. I'm telling you, when you get in your mid 50's it's all down hill Lol. at least for me anyhow.

    Hope all are in good health here. I am fine now, but I still feel like I have had the life sucked out of me some days. Just had to stop in and say a quick hello to everyone.

    Happy belated birthday. Hope it was a good one. I must be tired as hell or something as I misread, Chucks heading. I swore it said. " Our President & owner BestTechie (Jeff Weisbein) is having a B " and I thought it read, ...........Baby !! LMAO. :lol: Sorry bout that. Eitherway, Hope it was a fun day. Enjoy your youth. I wish I was back in my 20's Mid 50's can suck for some of us. Myself including.

    I trust everyone had a wonderful holiday season. Wishing you & yours the very best in 17.;) I also wanted to stop by and say hello to everyone. I do think of this site often. Sorry I don't post much these days, but, I must admit, I am glad this site still exists. Thanks to, Jeff and all responsible parties that keep this site up an running. :)

    Man oh man, this is totally depressing. First I have been here in a dogs age and all I see is members that have passed on. First I saw was, TT75 and now sultan_emerr. R.I.P. my long lost friend.

    Life is just way to short. Sultan has helped me out with computer issues many of times back in my early days of computing when TTV was on air.

    Talk about memory lane here. Hello folks. It's been forever since I too posted here. I just so happened to be looking for dead sites to clean out of my bookmarks and low & behold I come across this oldie but goody. Hope life is treating everyone good.

    Talk about being out of touch, I just happened to see a post by Pete C. about closing down the tech board at G4. I believe it was in 2005 or 06 Well I guess that is old news but new news to me as I have not been over to G4 in many years. I miss the good ole days of Call for help and the screen savers. Remember them good ole days ??

    Have a great day folks. I am going to try and make every effort to swing by here more often. As I said, I hope all are doing fine as well as being in good health.

    Why thank you very much. :thumbsup: As usual, my day was nice and quiet just the way I like it.

    I didn't even have as much as one beer. :rolleyes: Hope all is well with everyone and that everyone is enjoying the holiday season that snook up on me. :rolleyes: Hope everyone here is doing good. If I don't get back between now and X-Mas. have a great X-Mas & new year. I hope 2008 will be much nicer to me then 07. I have had one medical issue after another on top of another and so on............ :rolleyes:

    This picture is 2 years old or a little over. I don't own a dig. camera, but I had some pictures on film that I had put onto CD.

    Anyhow, this is my modified Compaq 5,000 1.7 GHZ. I was told this could not be done. Well with some modding I was able to get the mother board and PSU. to fit in this case. :thumbsup: I also have a Dell 4600 3.0 GHZ. right next to this one minus a case Mod. I also got rid of my clunky ole 17 inch Compaq monitor and replaced it with a 19 inch Flatron LCD. 4 MS. :thumbsup: I also have two Belkin UPS. units, so each rig has it's own power supply back up.

    Right now, I am ashamed to say my work area looks terrible.

  22. I Am Totally Freaked Out By What I Found

    I don't do to well with creatures and bugs either, which reminds me of an incident that just happened to me about 2 weeks ago.

    I had just got done cutting my grass just before it got dark. Anyhow, after I cut the grass I took a shower, came outside to sit on my front deck and have a cold beer. Keep in mind it is now completely dark out at this point.

    I am sitting in my chair with my robe on, beer in one hand and a cigerattee in the other. I just happened to turn my head to the right and saw what seemed to be a large animal or something in the dark. I asked my wife for the flash light without saying a word. I shined the light over at this creature, all I seen was what looked like two eyes staring at me. Well, I froze. Next thing I knew my wife asks me what I wanted the flashlight for, so I shined thew light for her to see what I saw.

    She says, what the hell is that. I look at her and say, how the hell do I know ? She says aren't ya gonna go after it ?

    Next thing ya know, my wife is standing next to me by the front door with my 357 hand gun. Thank God I have a trigger lock on it at all times. I said I can't fire this thing into the dark without knowing just what it is.

    Anyhow, the next morning my wife comes running into the bedroom saying come quick and get you're gun, it's still on the back lawn.

    I thought I was going to have a heart attach. I get my gun and head for the front door and I forgot my robe, so I am outside on my deck in my birthday suit holding a 357 as my neighbors are heading out for work. OMG. Turns out my big creature I had blew in from my next door neighbors yard.

    A big Grey plastic bag.

    Needless to say my wife laughed for hours on end over the big plastic creature.

    But, you should of seen the look on my neighbors faces when they saw me pointing a loaded 357 at a plastic bag. OMG. is all I can say.

    I will get even with my wife at some point for what she did to me. :thumbsup:
