  1. So I'm guessing I'm about the millionth person who's come to you with this exact problem. I've followed your instructions. It looks as if HijackThis has only managed to shift about half of the items you listed. Things do seem to be better, though. I ran the AVG scan in safe mode and it detected and deleted about 100 cookies. However, for some reason, when I went into reports it said "No reports available".   2. My PC is running reasonably well, but I'm getting a lot of rogue messages popping up about spyware and Trojan infections. (For example: "Your system is probably infected with latest version of Spyware.CyberLog-X".) Any such message tries to redirect me to download some (presumably spurious) anti-spyware software I've never heard of. I'm running BitDefender and it has detected (and presumably quarantined) several instances of Trojan infections, but there's evidently more going on than just that.
