For what it's worth, Slimbrowser, Avant and Maxthon all have had very recent updates.

Is it important enough data for you to pay one of the recovery companies? They claim that they can recover just about anything, for the right price.

Thanks JSKY......just downloaded and ran scan...works great!
Very comprehensive and deep scan it does....took awhile.
Ran Ad-AwareSE,Spybot S&D and A2 and all clean...then after running ewido, it found 1 file "newdotnet".....
Very good to have.....thanks again!!
That "newdotnet" can be pretty serious. Did you get rid of it completly?

I don't think that there's really all that much difference between the 6 free a/vs , or the 5 free firewalls, but that it depends on each person's taste and experience. For example, a lot of people say that Tiny is a really good firewall, but both times that I tried to download it, it wouldn't install because it said some file was missing, so I just said to heck with it, and went back to Sygate. But that doesn't mean that Tiny is not a good firewall, as long as a person does not screw up the download like I did.I know this question gets asked all the time so, please don't yell at me. LOL.My Norton Antivirus expires today and instead of paying to renew it again I have decided to uninstall it and get a free one. I just don't know which one to get. What is the best free one, or the one you reccommend??
My brother has AVG and I really dont like it that good.
