any advice on how to

change my drive letters

back to normal

ive just reinstalled and my drive letters

are

the ones in parenthisis

is the way ide like them

ex; hdd 0 d [c]

hdd 1 c [f]

cdrom e [d]

cdwr f [e]

i tried in disk management

but it wont allow me to change them

other than removing the spare hdd

and cdwr

an reinstalling windows.

You aren't going to be able to change the name of the HDD that windows boots from because everything in the registry points to a D:/ not a C:/. You can change the Optical drives through Disc management, Removing the drive letters, then renaming them.
