I'm against all the anti-microbial this and that that's out there -- I believe it breeds stronger microbes, and prevents our immune system from recognizing and mounting a defense against the ones that are already out there. I know there's more stories of accidental discoveries but I can't think of any right now (other than 'vulcanizing' rubber, and I'm not sure that's a true story).
