nightlovell
So, my current countertop is straight outta the 90s—cracked, stained, and possibly haunted. The other day, I was chopping veggies, and the knife slipped because the surface is uneven (not fun). I’m looking for something durable and easy to clean but also modern and stylish. Quartz, granite, or maybe something eco-friendly? If you’ve got recommendations or regrets about your own counters, spill the tea!
garett
Oh man, that sounds like a proper kitchen saga—ghosts and all! I definitely get the need for an upgrade. I went through a similar battle with my old ceramic tiles (complete with the 'mysterious' coffee stains from the previous owner). I ended up choosing quartz for its sleek look and because it's just so darn easy to clean. It really brightened up the space and made it look modern. A friend of mine went with granite, and while it's super sturdy, she does mention it needs a bit more TLC when it comes to maintenance. If you’re leaning towards something eco-friendly, recycled glass countertops are quirky and beautiful, plus they can be quite the conversation starter! I stumbled upon this neat site while looking into options: EdStone They have a range of materials, and their gallery could give you some solid inspiration.
