hi team a friend is using WINME

and he has a virus in his restore program

where is restore in WINME [if any]

and how do i get to disable it.

as im not familiar with me

im at a loss to find the program

any ideas.

Just want to highlight the point of if System Restore is turned off, all previous restore dates will be lost. When you turn System restore back on, you need to create a new system restore date.

restore is in the c directory. it is a hidden folder. view hidden files and folders.

this has been edited by bearskin...

personally I delete the restore folder as I never use it. but don't listen to me.

yes iwas hoping youd post

as i knew you use win me

my friend has over 40 viruses

and im not sure how to tackle it

im almost sure it is in his restore program

so i need to disable that first

avg has found them but there are some that wont delete

ive deleted some in safe mode

but i haven had time to go through the sys

but thanks

pat posted a way to get to the program.

and ive printed it out

because ile never remember all those instructions
