Is It Worth The Cost

hi team i need your advice

at the moment im running a 1gig p3

and i have the chance of progressing to a

p3 1.8gig.

at the cost of about $300

personally i dont think it is worth the cost

because to go to a 2gig

is about $350

am i right ?

as ive never gone any further than 1gig

so i need your expertise.

as this is way out of my league.

i hope ive explained this correctly

Marty, P3? Look at these mother board options at Tiger Direct

I know you're not in the US so prices may be way higher there, but for that kind of money you should be able to get a P4 or a good AMD.

AFAIK the PIII topped out at 1.4 GHz.

$300 to upgrade a PIII to 1.8Ghz no you can get a P4 3.4Ghz for $275.

the compt i use at the moment

i built myself

so i may try and build a p4

but im going to need your help

yes components are much dearer here than in

the usa,

but most users build there own at much lower costs.

so thanks you have given me some sort of guide line
