Sir_Siddy
Hey guys Im planning on buying thishttp://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?...N82E16835103164. Currently I am using a thermaltake venus 12 heatsink wich is loud as hell. Some 5500 RPM at max. I want to move to water cooling so I could experament a little with overclocking without making too much noise. Im not sure if im reading the specs right on it though but the radiator needs a 80 millimeter fan slot on the back right? Well I have this casehttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811162011. I think the fan slot on the back is 80mm. You can see my current setup herehttp://photobucket.com/albums/v229/ImageHo...nt=HPIM1785.jpg( I know a mess with the wires. Im working on it)Do you think that radiator will fit there? Will my case get in the way? (It has littleholes like a screen in the back)Thanks for your help guys. I dont want to get this and have to return it so I want to get all the reassurance I can. Pierce
That is a very nice, and very neat piece of kit,From what i can tell, is that the 80mm fan sits on the case, the radiator mounts on that 80mm fan, and then the heatskink of course sits on the cpu, so you still have an 80mm fan for cooling. A bit like how a car's radiator works. If you were parinoid about noise, you could invest in an ultra quiet 80mm fan too, to replace the one that comes in that kit.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811998105so i do think it should fit, but doesnt newegg have a 30 day return policy if it doesnt fit?Pierce
Sir_Siddy
Not too paranoid about sound. The case itself is a little noisy but my current heatsink sounds like a small portable vaccume cleaner. I need to get it right the first time because I have an exact 100 dollar budget. Currently with one of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16835888602My shipping is $97. Also had a question about that PCI blower. Im going to mount it near my VGA. Do you think this would help cool down the VGA? I know it sucks air but I hope it will pull cooler air near the Heatsink
Pierce
comments are good on that product, will it cool down the vga, it should as thats what its made for, question is can you sacrifice 1 slot for it?Pierce
