After I got it back I noticed that Speedfan SMART tab said that the HD's health was medium like. I found that kinda strange since I just RMAed it. I ran the Seagate diagnostic with a full scan and it came up with no problems. I also started to notice that windows started to hang everynow and then and sometimes my computer wouldnt boot saying that it was detecting arrray. I just unplugged the harddrive and that fixed everything untill recently. I want to install Ubuntu on that drive now. The instalation hangs up alot though. Is this drive broken? I find it odd that seagates own diagnostic says the drive is alright while speedfan says its not. You would think seagate would know how to test its own drive. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
