martymas Posted September 16, 2005 Report Share Posted September 16, 2005 hi team ive struck a problem and im stumped for an answer.i was trying to access the ubdc4and all of sudden this blinking cursor appeared as a black block ive been to mouse properties in winxp and udcd4but i cant find a way to turn it off .it takes over your cursor.and i find it difficult to back space and delete and add.i installed regcleaner .as this appli is good to find these.isolated programs.but no go any one tried this ubdc4marty Quote Link to post Share on other sites
JDoors Posted September 16, 2005 Report Share Posted September 16, 2005 (edited) First thing I'd check (since I have no ideas how running the CD may have caused this) is that you don't have "Insert" enabled, i.e., you have not pressed the Insert key on the keyboard (just press it again to see if it will undo the problem).<edit> Otherwise when something is not displaying correctly I always suspect the video driver -- it could be corrupted or changed -- Reinstall the drivers. Though that seems a drastic step, it's not difficult if you have everything you need available. A simple test would be to change to Windows VGA (reboot) then back to your current driver (another reboot), that my be enough to reinstall or correct any problem files.
