YulianaBoyle
Recently, we've realized that ChatGPT an artificial intelligence (AI) program has been used to provide both reviews and poetry content. While we don't have anything against people using tech to expand horizons, we find this something that needs to be addressed. Immediately. What are your thoughts? We have AI here. We can't beat the poetry that's generated when admitted in contests. We can't beat the reviews that are generated. So we have steroids at the Olympics. How would you like to address this, as a community? So far, we think asking for policy that folks using AI identify the content as such, and that content is excluded from contests. We have discussed asking if we can add an AI tag and category, and asking for policy. What are your thoughts? Where would you like us to go with our requests?
BrandonHarris
Thank you for taking this AI generated content issue over to the Suggestions thread as we hopefully come together and decide as a community how we should move forward.
AriellaTerry
It's wonderful to see the community coming together to address the concerns surrounding AI content. Achieving a consensus is a significant step forward, and it's essential for everyone to feel heard and valued in these discussions. Exploring potential solutions and guidelines to navigate AI integration is definitely a proactive approach. It'll be interesting to see how the Webmistress reviews the thread and what insights she brings to the table. If anyone wants to delve deeper into AI tools and their potential impact, there are plenty of resources available on this AI tools list. Ardashe
AI-generated content, like poetry and reviews, is definitely an interesting development, but I agree that transparency is key. Adding an AI tag and setting clear policies for contests sounds like a fair way to handle this. What do you think—should there be more guidelines on how AI tools like chatbots are used in creative competitions?
Mirei
I’ve been dabbling with AI tools for a while now, and I remember the first time I used a chatbot to help me organize some ideas for a creative project. The clarity and speed were impressive, but I agree that when it comes to things like contests or competitions, transparency is crucial. AI can enhance creativity, but it's important to draw the line between human effort and machine-generated content.
Liam Connr
I think we should have clear policies, like labeling AI work and excluding it from contests. A separate category for AI content could work too, but let’s keep the human touch front and center.
