Help With User Accounts [2 Problems]

Ok here is the first problem. My username is Kyle, when I go to Documents and Settings my user account isnt listed there. I took a ss. Click

My start menu is up to show you my user account name is Kyle. Why arent I there?

Second Problem: When i'm browsing my files and I click Tools, I dont get Folder Options on that list. My parents accounts do, i've checked, but I dont. Heres a pic. Click

you must have limited access to windows, or in other words, a guest and not an admin. to go back to admin, goto user accounts, pick yours, and click change my account type, then click the circle that says computer administrator. there you go. you actually may not be able to do thid from your name, so log onto your parents and do it from there.

Also, if you change your orginal name, your old name will still be used for the folders...

I do have a Admin account and what do you mean Guru?

When I first got my laptop, my user name was Owner, then I changed it to quickbasicguru; in my Documents and Settings folder, my profile is under Owner because that was my original name.

if u'r xp and u wanna make the username = the folder name, just use the file & settings xfer wizard in the system tools area. then create a new account as u see fit and reverse the process so that u'r files & settings move to the new account.

once u'r happy/tested out ok, u can purge the old account.

as to not seeing 'folder options' ... odd ... could be a group policy put in effect by admin. ask them
