Peaches
Microsoft releases IE9 RC with Tracking Protection Following the beta in September 2010, Microsoft has issued a release candidate for Internet Explorer 9. Compared to the beta, the new features in IE9 RC focus mainly on security, including the addition of a Tracking Protection or Do Not Track, feature. The publication in December of the US Federal Trade Commission's paper on the protection of consumer privacy in today's digital economy has applied some pressure on advertising networks. Browser and search engine providers, such as Mozilla and Google, have reacted by adding various mechanisms to allow consumers to control or block cookie tracking mechanisms and there has been some discussion of the merits of the various methods for controlling tracking. A detailed technical breakdown of IE9 RC is available from the Microsoft IEBlog site. - http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ie/ http://www.h-online.com/security/news/item/Microsoft-releases-IE9-RC-with-Tracking-Protection-1188139.html
