Peaches
Secunia's domain hijacked Traffic to Secunia's web site was temporarily re-directed to the above page. Last night, attackers seized control of security firm Secunia's top domain and set it up in such a way that a visit to secunia.com displayed a message from the hacker group instead of the company's actual home page. The hackers also took down the Personal Software Inspector (PSI). The PSI is a tool is designed to scan a users PC for old program versions that have known vulnerabilities and offers a simple way of updating to the most recent and secure versions. A Corporate Software Inspector (CSI) is also available for a fee. Secunia say that the DNS entries were manipulated today at 00:40 a.m. CET, and that the domain was redirected to a different server for 1 hour and 10 minutes as a result. Visitors may still be redirected to the hacker page due to ISPs' use of DNS caching.
