Peaches
20 September 2010, 15:36 Adobe to release Flash update today There is a critical vulnerability in current versions of Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Reader on all currently supported operating systems and attackers are already using an exploit to take control of systems. Adobe has now announced that it will release an updated Flash Player earlier than originally planned, in order to block the vulnerability. Today's release will see an update for versions running on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Solaris and Android. In Google Chrome, the hole has already been blocked for three days with an updated Flash Player having been sent to Chrome users as part of the latest update to the browser. According to Adobe, the flaw exists in Adobe Reader, version 9.3.4 and earlier, as well as in the Flash Player. A corrected version of Reader will be released on the 4th of October which, additionally, won't be vulnerable to a second hole which is also being maliciously exploited. http://www.h-online.com/security/news/item/Adobe-to-release-Flash-update-today-1082317.html
