Peaches
Download Free Windows 7 NASA Spacescapes ThemeFrom the Windows Personalization Gallery Windows 7 users tired of having earthbound landscapes for their desktop backgrounds can now access an imagery package that is nothing short of out of this world from Microsoft. New spectacular images of the Universe have been bundled into a Windows 7 theme and made available for download free of charge via the Windows Personalization Gallery. The NASA Spacescapes theme is the latest themepack offered by the Redmond company to customers running the latest iteration of the Widows client. Softpedia readers have already been able to download a Windows 7 theme containing content from NASA back in April 2010. At that time, Microsoft had released the NASA Hidden Universe theme on the Window Personalization Gallery. And it appears that the software giant is not done with providing end users with additional NASA imagery, with the Spacescapes theme being an illustrative example in this regard. "Roam the far corners of the universe—distant galaxies, dying stars, and the echoes of the Big Bang—with this NASA theme for Windows 7," reads the description of the NASA Spacescapes theme. The themepack delivers no less than 14 images, along with additional settings for Windows Aero. As each wallpaper will be swapped for another from the theme on the desktops of Windows 7 machines, users will be able to see that the images have been captured by some of the most famous telescopes worldwide, including Hubble, Spitzer, and Chandra.
