Crossbeam And Sophos Partner To Deliver High-Performance Email Security

Sophos has joined Crossbeam’s list of security partners whose software is certified to run on the X-Series security platform

Jun 28, 2010 | 05:10 PM Crossbeam Systems, Inc. and Sophos today announced a strategic partnership that delivers high-performance email security to large enterprises and service providers. Crossbeam’s X-Series platform customers now have the ability to run Sophos’s email security gateway software, Sophos PureMessage, to proactively protect users against the growing volume and sophistication of spam, malware, phishing, and other email-borne threats.

Sophos joins a list of leading security vendors whose software is certified to run on the X-Series, including Check Point, IBM, Imperva, Sourcefire, Trend Micro, and Websense.

“In 2010, businesses will have to improve their defenses by improving outbound spam detection and email throttling policy options, as well as improving effectiveness against highly targeted phishing attacks,” said Peter Firstbrook, research director, Gartner, in the recent research note, “A Buyers Guide to Secure E-Mail Gateways.”
