eagleone
hello everyone, just joined the forum.I'm running 98 o/s second edition, have a liteon dvd burner, creative dvd reader and ricoh cd-r burner installed.I've had no major probs till the other day when i installed a mp3-2 wave software on the system.Received message that an winaspi.dll file was replaced with an older one and prompted me to insert my windows setup disk to restore it.Giving me the problem when i put a disc in dvd burner and dvd reader i get a error code 89030000 unknown format and would not see it yet in the cd-r burner its ok able to read it and burn. Also the Ahead incd icon down in the desktop toolbar has changed to a yellow warning sign.I went through the windows setup to restore the dll file but still get the error code message tried reinstalling incd no good still. Downloaded new aspi file and installed but still nothing.Using nero 6 which i have installed it shows me that the system aspi installation is corrupted but the nero aspi is installed and working properly. To be honest when installing programs and using them is ok for me but when it comes to system problems i am a little lost.I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me out and possibly in very simple terms if u no what i mean. Thank u

Vile_DR
There could possible be a corruption with your DVD-R drivers. Just as a suggestion, of course it might be a timely thing, but uninstall the drivers to your burners/readers and reinstall them. Even uninstall the software before reinstalling the drivers for your devices. Here are a few examples of the Error Code you mentionedYagoohoogle Search
