irregularjoe
Hi Marty.Global warming is probably the most pressing issue today. The sad fact is that every day we wait to make serious changes, more damage is done. Irreversible damage is only a matter of time. Unfortunately last weeks summit in Copenhagen did not accomplish anything. Although we do now have a president that can at least spell global warming. That's a start I guess. Most thinking people here know that it's real and needs to be dealt with. Politcians are as usual among the last ones to come on board. .........Yes there are also a lot of people that either don't understand it or choose not to beleive it even with the evidence staring them in the face. But then again, we have a lot of people who beleive the Earth is 6000 years old. I read an article a few months ago about the Maldives. Due to the low elevation of the islands, there is a movement there to actually relocate the entire populace somewhere else. They were looking at Sri Lanka the last I heard. It's probably not a bad time to build a boat. Joe
