you can also go to

Start -> settings -> control panel -> Sound & Audio devices,

From that panel click

HardWare,

Scroll down to Audio Codecs or Video Codecs

Click Properties

Then from thoes tabs

Click properties and you should be able to see all the codecs your system has.

Damn why does windows burry everything under 1001 clicks?
