If custom what motherboard manufacture.You will need to boot to the BIOS.Go through each option and write the settings on paper.Call you local electronics stores, radio shack, circuit city, or best buy, to see if they carry the battery.Open computer case, find the battery, replace. martymas Posted March 17, 2005 Report Share Posted March 17, 2005 yes i think your battery needs renewing.to test this restart your compt go to your bios .at the standart c-mos setup press enter.when in there scroll to all errors and using the up and down keys change to no errors .press esc. f10 then Y then enter.then restart your compt and if that checksun is still there your battery needs changing .a new battery ie need to sustain those settings.if you go to hardware forum i have a post there asking the same thing.but i cant find a battery for my out of date mobo.good luck marty Quote Link to post Share on other sites
