jimras
I know there must be a simple way to do this but I really don't know how.I absolutely HATE the Windows Explorer default of showing icons when you open a folder. Can't I somehow set the default to show "details" view instead? I really would prefer to always have it open in the detail view every time. I just can't find where to do this.I am running Windows XP Pro SP3. Thanks in advance for any help you experts can offer.jim
blim
Guessing with some help from my XP for Dummies book Try right clicking, if anything happens, click properties and choose "classic". No idea if it will work as it is a tip for desktop themes and start menus....Liz
Falcon1986
Open a Windows Explorer window and set the view as you would like it. Then go to Tools > Folder Options > View tab > and click on "Apply to all folders".Close the window and relaunch. You should see that the settings have taken effect.
