hi team just saw on our news service a banking scam going round the world

and it probably will only catch the greedy

it is called plasma connections.

the gentle man that got caught coughed up 33.000

so if you see this name PLASMA CONNECTIONS arrive to your inbox delete it

at the moment it is circulating the south pacific.

tho theve uncovered one scam in canada

dont give your password or you bank card number

Thanks for the alert Marty - not giving out your account #'s or passwords is always a good idea. I'm sure most of the folks that will be on the board here are savvy enough to know, but it can never hurt to reiterate such an important point! If a bank needs to contact you to get information, they will do it in person when you visit one of the branches, or through their site when you log on - never through email (or the phone, for that matter).

Here is another scam that is going around. This one has to do with Citibank, I reported it to Citibank so they can "try" to deal with it.

Dear Citi-Card User,

This e-mail was sennt by the Citibank-Online servers to veerify your email

adderss. You must cmotpele this pseorcs by clicking on the link

below and enttering in the little window your Citi-Bank ATM

Card number and PiN that you use on local Atm machine.

This is donne for your pecrtotion -C- because some of our members no

lngoer have access to their email adsrseeds and we must verify it.

To veerify your e-mail adress and access your CitibankOnline account, klick on

the link below. If ntohing hapnpes when you clic on the link -t copye

and pastte the link into the addres bar of your window.

The thing that is evident, is the bad spelling, gives it away. Agree with WiredMonkey concerning account #,passwords and emails.

Any time I get e mails with bad spelling in the subject line or strings of letters ther it goes straight into the trash even if there aren't any attachments. If they can't get the spelling right then it probably is a scam .
