Bad Pool Caller[INACTIVE]

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody,

As you can see i'm new here on this forum. My first question immediatly is a big one:

I want to re-install Windows on my ASUS Terminator A7VT400, but then I get a 'bad pool caller'-error. I already know that this has to do with the hardware and/or driver. I had this problem before, but that time i temporary solved it by installing Windows on an other partition. But this time I want to do it good, with one partition and one windows.

What I already did is the Windows Memory Diagnostic, but it gave no errors. What else can I do more to search for the problem?

Thanks, greetings,

Boeileh

Hello and Welcome! :)

I am MoNsTeReNeRgY22 and I will be assisting you with your malware problem today.

First lets make sure you are clear of malware, then I will pass you to one of the techs.

Step 1

Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malicious sites can use to infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update:

  • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) Version 6 and save it to your desktop.
  • Scroll down to where it says "Java Runtime Environment (JRE)6 Update 3...allows end-users to run Java applications".
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • Read the License Agreement and then check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement". The page will refresh.
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation and save the file to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel, double-click on Add/Remove Programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check (highlight) any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
  • Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u3-windows-i586-p.exe to install the newest version.

Step 2

Download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) to your Desktop.

  • Close all applications and windows.
  • Double-click on DSS.exe to run it, and follow the prompts.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

Extra Note: When running DSS, some firewalls may warn that sigcheck.exe is trying to access the internet - please ensure that you allow sigcheck.exe permission to do so. Also, it may happen that your Antivirus flags DSS as suspicious. Please allow the Deckard's System Scanner to run and don't let your Antivirus delete it. (In this case, it may be better to temporary disable your Antivirus)
