mikex Posted October 25, 2007 Report Share Posted October 25, 2007 I advise following that advice with just the router and then just the modem. This will give the IP's of each, you may note this for the future, sometime two devices are in the same range and will interfere with each other. But if this is a modem from the phone company they should have a cd to run on your machine to configure everything on your pc. If you want to go from modem to router to pc then the out from the modem should go to the wan or internet of the router then from the lan of the router to the nic on the pc.
