wgw1965
Hi folks. First post on here - great site.My problem is that my 5 year old daughter got let loose on my PC - bless her - and after 3 years of having absolutely no problems, I ended up having to re-format the hard drive, losing everything in the process. In my attempts to get the PC back to normal, I've managed to cause the boot up process to hang for approx 5 - 10 mins with a black screen followed by white scrolling bar at the foot of the display, just prior to Windows loading. I'm not quite sure what's caused this but I do know that it happened around about the same time that I upgraded to SP2 and also set my PC for Windows updates. I've not loaded that much else and disabled everything in startup via MSCONFIG without any joy, so I'm slightly puzzled as to why this is happening.Could someone please assess this copy of my HJT and advise on the best way to deal with this problem. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
