mikex
I got a laptop for work. It has a fressh install of Vista on it. How can I go about removing the old user info from ir, registered user, and what not. The user folders has the original users name. Not so bad but bothersome. Can I create a new user, pull my downloads over, delete original user? Both are admin for now.M
shanenin
as to changing the registered user, it is the same as XP. Using regedit go tohkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversionTheir is both a value you can change for registerd owner and registered organization among othersas to your name, can't you just go to "user accounts" and change the name throught there? mikex
i rolled back to XP Pro. Vista allows you to do this, you think M$ knew this would happen often?
