If he is going to print those pictures from the negatives, have him be sure to look hard at the price of inks for it. Some are soo expensive it's cheaper to have them printed at a shop. I'll say that when I start "googling" I will use several different terms or words until I find the right place. For this one I typed in photo negative scanners and got that page the first try.
