chuck
I'm trying to make my machine dual boot with windows and the new fedora 7. Windows has a 60gb part, fedora has 2gb swap, 10 gb /, and 16gb /home. after installation of fedora windows will just boot up normally, grub did not show up or any indication that will allow me to use Linux. Now i'm trying to modify the boot.ini in windows, to boot directly to fedora, by using bootpart. After editing the boot.ini with bootpart, i try to boot the computer into linux and i get a .hal error... i can't understand why grub won't boot, and even bootpart won't work. the entire installation of fedora was smooth without any errors. shanenin
I think their is an option in fedora to choose where to install the boot loader. I think you maybe did not choose to install to the mbr. IT may be simplest to just reinstall fedora, then choose to install the boot loadr to the mbr.
