mikex Posted December 16, 2004 Report Share Posted December 16, 2004 SOYO mobo #sy-k7ada. XP 1+G processor.Troubleshooting machine. Machine was at another "friends" house because vid card went out. Ordered vid card ~ MadDog multimedia Prowler MX440-SE GeForce 4 PCI.Installed new vid card on machine still no post no video. No Splash screen, no black loading screen.???????Any suggestionsM~~~Edit~~~Found three capistors on mobo with brown spots on top. Threse three caps are bulging up.MOBO DEAD!sad music playing, weeping sounds.M Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Just talked to my brother-in-law ~built the machine~ he did two machines exactly alike, both machines same problem after warenty expired.Looking to replace the mobo with as little headaches as possible. mikex Posted January 14, 2005 Author Report Share Posted January 14, 2005 UPDATEWife bought me a soldering iron for christmas. I took good capacitors from one mobo replaced bad ones one the other. Will test tonight. Will post if I smoke it, cross your fingers.Had to be very carefull not to let the solder run.
