I would just reformat and go. But you might check out Kelly's Corner for some of that. I think there is a Disable for the run as command on their. As for getting pass the Password stuff you can just get rid of all the passwords by getting rid of the administrators. Or you might create a new user with administrators access without a password and then go in and fix the other stuff. Was this due to malware effects, the fact that the current Windows user account is not one with Administrator privileges, or a 3rd-party program that password-protects your programs? martymas Posted May 27, 2007 Author Report Share Posted May 27, 2007 (edited) in answer to falcons Qthey passworded all entrys to try and stop the kids infecting the compt but it didnt make any differencein the finish i reinstalled windows and it was a bugger of a job as the compt was a hp with a preinstalledxp with out a disk to get windows back it had a recovery consoledell does the same so we had to delete 4 partitions upon partitionsto clear the hddprior to deleting those partitions it wouldnt let us insall from a floppy nor a cdthats why hp and dell are ripping the public offit only takes one disk to install millions of sysand here they charge $3.000for one comptbut we had to reinstall windows and the compt is going okthrough a boot floppy with fdisk and formatmartymarty Edited May 27, 2007 by martymas Quote Link to post Share on other sites
