mikex
I am looking for a NTP server application I can run on an XP machine so other OSes on the network can use to keep updated time.My plan is to have a ntp client on machine 1 to check for updated time. Then the ntp server will have the correct time for the other machines on the network.M
shanenin
Sounds cool, but why not just use the built in sync feature that syncs to time.windows.com ?
Phil
You'd be better just using a client on each PC and syncing it with a public NTP server since they can keep the time a hella lot better than your average PC.The public NTP server I use to sync my servers clocks is ntp0.nl.uu.netThis is an NTP sync client tool for Windows that I've used before. It worked well.~Phil~
mikex
Sorry I should be more specific. The other machines are open source routers with ntp client built in. I don't want all these machines trying to sync with servers outside our network, this will reduce the traffic through the gateway to the internet.M
