Task Manager

I have noticed something really wierd.

My task manager has changed.....I only see ONE box and that shows the programs that are running in the task bar corner... like Anti Virus, Mail washer, weather watcher.

There are no tabs on the top of it like there used to be so you could check the running processes and stuff. The other wierd thing is that there is NO title in the bar that shows up in the task bar and there is NO little "X" in the upper corner to close the box. The only way to get rid of it is to restart the computer. You can't even right-click on the box in the taskbar to close it either.

I have run AVAST and AVG anti virus programs as well as spybot S&D and Adaware and nothing has been found or noted.

What could have happened?? I guess this is more of an annoyance (and something that makes you go Hmmmmmmm) than anything else.

Specs:

AMD Athalon Barton Core 2500+

1 Gig of RAM

Antec case & Power supply

XP Pro SP1 (can't get SP2 to install---long story)

Any ideas, experts??

Double click in the grey area.

does it show on the left at the very top

an icon of a compt

if it does open it and press maximise

it may have the have the option hide

when minimised

which need to be unchecked

ive never heard of this before

so it will be interesting on how to fix it

Boy, you guys are quick!! and GOOD, too!!!

I double clicked on the gray bar AT THE TOP and

it came right back like it was supposed to be.
