hi hitest at last ime on line with ubuntu

i had the dns wrong

i got so dam excited i spilled my cuppa

after all this time of grizzling

im sending this post from ubuntu

i have two Q how do i increase the size of my fonts

and can you import the outlook express

address book fromOE to evilution

or i intend to install thunderbird

as ime more familiar

with it

i dont like this firefox

i see it has a thousand add ons

that is more patches than microsoft

has ubuntu any other browsers

to choose from

I agree the fonts seem extremely small when using FF on linux, I am not sure why. I usually goto preferences >> content >> Fonts and colors >> advanced >> then I set the "minimum font size" to 15

That seems to be the easiest method.

Very cool, Marty!

Here's one thing you can get started with. To install Thunderbird. Click on Desktop----------------------->Administration------------Synaptic Package Manager.

When Synaptic starts up it will prompt you for your password, enter your password then, type enter on your keyboard.

Click on the icon that says search, then type in the word thunderbird

Click on the box beside the word thunderbird, then click the button that says Apply.

Another box will open confirming your selection, click apply again.

Then Synaptic will download, install thunderbird for you and place an icon in your Internet Applications menu.

Edit: Added later: Sometimes when you use Synaptic you may be asked to insert your Ubuntu install CD. If your computer asks you to do that when you install thunderbird go ahead and put it in and click okay. When you're finished installing thunderbird remove the CD

ive lost sight of my rubbish bin

how do i get it back

also i found how to make my fonts bigger

change the resilution to suit

800+600 is fairly big

any thing higher is smaller
