hitest Posted December 26, 2006 Report Share Posted December 26, 2006 I found this site on the Internet which has a listing of a site where you can download a root kit detector onto your Linux box. The package they had listed didn't work for me, but, I found a slackware and debian package that did work. This is a commandline utility that'll check to see if you've been owned by some miscreant. I scanned my Linux boxes and I'm clean. Very cool little utility. There are other rootkit utilities out there, this is one of them:-) rkhunter Quote Link to post Share on other sites
