rjmiller15
I have a HP Pavilion dv4000, I've had for maybe a little over a year. I take good care of it, with up to date Avast Virus program, Windows Defender Antispyware, I regularly cleanup with dumping of my temp files, cookies, etc. I even run a registry cleaner program.I have been recently getting a BSOD with a memory parity error. I don't know the exact wording with it does say memory parity error and something about hardware failure. What could this be due to? Is my pc close to crashing due to bad memory???I'm really dumb when it comes to laptops.
shanenin
I would try running memtest. it can be downloaded here. If you have any of the newer versions of knoppix(3.4 does not have it, but 3.7+ does) or ubunutu, memtest is included on them.
